I designed, populated and deployed a marketing website for Todoebook App under very short notice (48 hours) for a client’s press event in November 2010. Todoebook is an ebook platform offered by a multinational corporation headquartered in Seville, Spain.

I knew the timeline for app submission of Todoebook App would be tight. But when the client moved the deadline up in mid-October, their goal of having Todoebook in the App Store by their press event in early November became difficult, if not impossible. I suggested to the client that it might be in their best interest to have a marketing website that showcased the app with a screencast, screenshots and the possiblity of deploying beta copies of the app to interested parties. The client decided at that point that they would rather wait until they knew for sure whether the app was going to be approved or not.

2 days before the event, the app was rejected by Apple’s review team on a technicality. Fortunately for the client, I had already started design and development of todoebookapp.com. With 48 hours worth of notice, we were able to present the client with a solution that showcased the app and made signing up for a private beta program possible.
